Part The Sea

Water cannot sate me now
Nearly drown to flee your smother
Break for air, what air there is
Return to your kind embrace
But while my thoughts wander astray
The sky behind me, through shades of grey, blackens...
And like tears held too long
Thunder sounds with the rain song
'Til my resolve, it suffocates
And I fall crying into the waves
Leave, I scream
'Til the tide pulls, the sea's roar still
Lingers ringing in my ears
Yet beyond its reach
Laps not at my feet
Sometimes I must part the sea
The dry ground, it beckons me

[ Leaving... I'm fleeing... ] ...this incessant hum
Neath night skies now starless
Cold, pale ground sickly glows
Don't know 'bout tomorrow
In silence and alone, few things can reach me
Here in nothingness, all weight has come to bear on me
Chasms blink at my feet
Lingering at the edge
Stand and wonder how deep
Suffer the consequences of a moment's weak grip
As I dream the edge below me,
I watch it now flee to the sky
But we'll wait and see how we feel
When we reach the bottom
For when we wake
We'll know the depths of our despair
And maybe we'll leave this place

Held in the air, by the breath of time
Up the hills of Kyoto smeared in moisture
A mind moves against and within
Internal tears crease memories
Halcyons within a storm
Staged in a play poisoned in foray
Forging matter in a grip of a’kin
Spread a web of shifting water
We speak too long for trickery
And I long too hard for bravery
The time stay’ed and I stopped us
Garnered in your pulse
Swollen in heat, laden heavy flesh
Heads in 2 inside 1 time
Patience and bide inside
Hills alight and the closure comes
Release and stay halcyons up the Kyoto skies
